Jim Moore Is currently the Executive Director of the Atoskiwin Training and Employment Centre of Excellence (ATEC) which provides unconventional training opportunities for Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET) youth wanting to upskill and get into the workforce.
He also sits as an Ad-Hoc board member of Pewapun (A new day) Construction Ltd. Jim is an advocate for First Nation Governance. He has been a former elected Councilor and former Chief of NCN First Nation. He has worked with various Industries in developing entry level skills for Aboriginal people and worked as team member in development of Employment Equity programs.
The ATEC site is one of the 13 registered charter member locations of the YouthBuild Global network and is also a registered affiliate of YouthBuild International and has won the prestigious award as the #1 site in the World.
Jim continues to advance change and innovation and in the education to training arena and his organization has been been published by the Manitoba Research Alliance as a Labor-Market-Intermediary (LMI).
Paul Toupin is currently Director of La Cité des affaires at Collège La Cité in Ottawa, Ontario. La Cité des affaires provides a continuum of customized training and business development solutions that meet the current and future needs of the labour market and supports the successful integration, inclusion and retention of French-speaking newcomers in order to enhance the vitality of Francophone minority communities.
He is also President and Founder of InnovEduca Consulting Services. InnovEduca works with Educational and Training providers to find innovative solutions to meeting their goals. From strategic planning and business development to facilitation and proposal writing InnovEduca helps spring solutions to life. We also help match businesses with the best training providers for their needs.
Prior, Toupin was Vice President of Enterprise and Community Relations at the Manitoba Institutue of Trades and Technology. He also worked for 10 years at the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (now Colleges and Institutes Canada), serving in roles such as Manager of Student Connections, and as Manager of the Canadian Forces College Opportunity Program.
Preceding his involvement in the world of postsecondary education, he spent a decade in college publishing after starting his professional career as a French immersion teacher.
Leonard Linklaters' career objective has been to lead, manage and change organizations and individuals to achieve excellent performance.
Ability to use MBA methods to analyze the current organizational situation and develop strategies that improve the performance of the organization and move towards its vision.
Ability to lead and manage organizational change.
Ability to work with teams, ability to coordinate business objectives and business planning to ensure that funding of organizational objectives are achievable.
A team player that has worked successfully with northern partners & industry to plan, organize and deliver the following training programs in the north: Heavy Equipment Operators, Northern Construction Trades, Mines Water and Waste water Conservation, COR for construction safety, Trained Process Operators(Vale), and a current High School Apprentice Program and Mature student apprentice program for carpenters and mechanics.
Partnership with the Atoskiwin Training and Employment Centre (ATEC) that is a labor-market-intermediary incorporating training to employment initiatives. ATEC’s Intake Education to Training Pathway (IETP) is a distinct approach at the grassroots level that incorporates a social job readiness program and indigenized curriculum that increases the learners educational journey to success.
Cheryl Linklater is a member of the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, Treaty 5 Territory, Northern Manitoba and currently, works as a Partnership Development Coordinator in providing training in Northern Manitoba.
She believes in teamwork and partnership, has a passion for helping where her skills and knowledge can be utilized. She sits as a board member on various boards in the community, including, Pewapun (A new day) Construction Ltd., Nelson House Medicine Lodge and Personal Care Home.
Her professional experience as an entrepreneur in the Service Industry, working in the financial sector for 15 years with local and regional First Nation organizations and Planning and organizing training in the Northern Manitoba Region, allows her to assist in this capacity. Info
